College Essay Workshop

This online workshop will guide juniors as they draft their Common App college essay and begin to navigate the college admissions process. The workshop provides two hours of group instruction and two 30-minute 1:1 sessions dedicated to the review of your drafted essay.

Class Times

• Monday, April 3rd, 2023, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Drafting the Common App Essay)

• Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 7:00 – 8:00 PM (College Application Strategies & Timeline **Strongly encourage parents to attend as well)

One-On-One Sessions

Students will select a 30-minute session within each time frame below.

• First Session: Wednesday, April 5th

• Second Session: Thursday, April 6th or Friday, April 7th

Instructor Bernadette Smith is a Novastar Prep learning coach who has spent over a decade helping students write effective college application essays and navigate the admissions process successfully. Her educational background includes a B.A in English and an M.A. in School Counseling.
